Emissions Reporting and Rule Revisions Workshop

Scottsdale, Arizona - May 20, 2024

Learn More about Regulatory Changes Affecting Utility Sources.  Utilities were scrambling to address significant changes to the Part 75 and the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) reporting slated to take effect this year.  Then, the rug was pulled from under them when the Agency announced in November that ECMPS 2.0, the new web-based reporting tool that EPA was developing to address that reporting, would not be available as promised.  While the delay pauses changes being imposed by EPA’s ECMPS re-engineering effort, it leaves many sources in a lurch since the new MATS reporting requirements must still be met.

EPA has also proposed changes to the MATS Hg and PM limits and monitoring options as well as new greenhouse gas (GHG) standards for existing electric utility sources that will have sweeping changes on the industry.  Both the MATS RTR and new GHG rules are scheduled to be finalized prior to the training workshop and we will discuss the requirements and compliance options available under those rulemaking packages.

This half-day workshop is intended to help you stay informed about the new rules, navigate the reporting changes, and understand the requirements.  Topics will include
:

•    Status of ECMPS 2.0 Changes
•    Addressing the New MATS Reporting Requirements
•    Quarterly Compliance Reports
•    Supplemental Stack Test Data Files
•    Reporting MATS Downtime/Deviations
•    Changes to MATS Emission Limits and Monitoring Options
•    PM Monitoring under New MATS Limits
•    Compliance Options under New GHG Rules

The Emissions Reporting and Rule Revisions Workshop will be held at the Doubletree Resort Paradise Valley – Scottsdale Hotel (5401 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85250) on Monday, May 20, 2024 (1:00pm - 5:00 pm) in conjunction with the EPRI CEMS User Group Meeting, which starts the following day at the same hotel.  The cost to attend the Utility Emissions Reporting Workshop is $300 and does not include travel or hotel costs.
