Part 75 CEMS Fundamentals Workshop

Atlanta, Georgia - May 19, 2025

Learn about the Part 75 Requirements and CEMS Fundamentals.
Understanding the Part 75 Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) requirements is important to ensure that you comply with the regulations and accurately report emissions under the Acid Rain Program, Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR), and the Mandatory Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Rule (Part 98).  The Part 75 CEMS data are also often used to demonstrate environmental compliance with emission limits under Part 60 and the MATS Rule.  Adhering to the QA/QC requirements and properly addressing periodic maintenance is critical to reduce CEMS downtime and minimize the impact of missing data substitution.  The types of test and acceptance criteria needed to validate CEMS data and information that must be reported can vary depending on type of unit and the selected monitoring approaches.

This half-day workshop is intended to focus on the basics and provide an overview of the fundamental CEMS requirements under Part 75 and will also discuss the intersection of the Part 75 provisions and the monitoring and reporting required under Part 60 and the MATS Rule.  Topics will include:

•    Regulatory Overview
•    CEMS Fundamentals
•    Part 75 QA/QC
•    CEMS Validity and Emission Averages/Totals
•    Intersections with Part 60 and MATS
•    Emissions Reporting

The CEMS 101: Part 75 Fundamentals Workshop will be held at the Atlanta Westin Peachtree Plaza (210 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, Georgia) on Monday, May 19, 2025 (1:00pm - 5:00 pm) in conjunction with the EPRI CEMS User Group Meeting, which starts the following day at the same hotel.  The cost to attend the workshop is $300 and does not include travel or hotel costs.
